Every time I pick up a camera, I learn something new. This blog is a learning opportunity too. I post pictures here that I'm proud of, with the expectation and hope that visitors will give me feedback. Tell me what you like. Tell me which pictures don't work for you. If you have suggestions for making them better, I'm all ears.
I hope you enjoy this gallery. Please let me know what you think.

Does the artist find the art? Or, does the art find the artist?
Hmm. That has me thinking...
Can art exist without an artist? And what about the role of the viewer? Can art exist without someone to see it, interpret it, feel it?
I don't think so. Similarly, I think art comes about through both the viewer and the artist. Without the artist, the subject is an uninterpreted, un"known" thing. At least that's my opinion.
But which finds which? I think it's mutual. A certain amount of art is being in the right place (mentally, spiritually, physically) at the right time. So the art finds the artist. Serendipity occurs.
But the artists finds the art by looking for it, too. I know I can feel it when, after trying all kinds of shots, I find the one that makes me happy.
Reminds me of your "Waiting for inspiration." This arrangement of objects was waiting for inspiration until you arrived. Your eye followed your intuition, exploring the possibilities. Then, the moment arrives when everything falls into place. You know that you've found what you were looking for. Or, perhaps it's found you. Either way, give thanks.
